Safety. Our mission is to assist with passage of HR 2381- The Nurse and Health
Care Worker Protection Act of 2009.
"We currently have an vacancy of 100,000 RN's. NIOSH estimates that number to
increase to 340,000 by the year 2020. Every one of us will be affected by this
shortage, whether we are the patient or the caregiver. It makes sense to protect
the nurses we have.
Patient outcomes depend on the number of health care workers at the bedside.
Health care workers should not expect to be injured because they chose a
profession of caring for others. Manual patient lifting is NEVER safe. Call your
Congressman and ask him or her to co-sponsor HR2381. Now is the time to protect
those we love and those who choose to care for them."
